What FrameNotes does
FrameNotes converts short videos into reviewable notes by extracting key images, transcribing audio through the configured speech provider, and generating downloadable outputs such as HTML, Markdown, DOCX, and bundled Markdown packages.
Information we process
When you upload a video or submit a supported link, the service processes the video file or link, task settings, generated keyframes, transcript segments, timestamps, and output files needed to complete the conversion. We also record limited operational metadata such as job status, duration, selected transcription provider, failure category, and optional feedback.
Source videos and generated files
Source videos and generated files are stored in per-job server directories to complete the conversion and make downloads available. They are not intended to be permanent user content storage. The current beta does not publish a guaranteed automatic deletion timetable; files may be removed as part of routine operational cleanup or storage maintenance. Download important results promptly and do not upload confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive material during the beta.
Analytics and feedback
FrameNotes may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand page visits, feature usage, conversion success, errors, and product feedback. Analytics do not include uploaded video content or local upload filenames. When you submit a YouTube URL, FrameNotes may retain that URL in operator-only task logs for troubleshooting, duration analysis, and product improvement. For task-level metrics, the site stores a random anonymous session ID in the browser so repeated tasks can be counted without identifying a person. Feedback you choose to submit may be reviewed to improve the product.
Third-party providers
Video processing may rely on hosting, transcription, analytics, DNS, and deployment providers. Audio transcription is performed by the configured ASR provider, such as Xunfei or another provider enabled by the operator. Those providers may process audio or derived data as required to provide their service.
Removal requests
To request removal of a generated job result or ask privacy questions, contact contact@framenotes.org. Include the job ID or result URL when available so the request can be handled accurately.
